A Brief History
Inspired Men Of Vision & Excellence, known as i~M.O.V.E.™ started at a small church in Los Angeles, California. On the corner of 43rd Street and 3rd Avenue in Leimert Park, a few young men had a simple conversation sharing a like minded desire to connect young men and increase interest and attendance in their local church, and encourage service in their local community.
As time matriculated forward, a dynamic vision began to germinate that would grow beyond the local church and local community with a desire to reach and connect with men across borders. In late March of 2022, our founder began to think about how to represent the brothers that were a part of this new community of excited and energized young men. April 7, 2022 at 1:30am, a powerful statement that would now represent this community of men was created. an acrostic stood out and i~M.O.V.E.™ was born. Later in May of 2023, a church service commenced which would highlight the young men of the Victory Christian Center Church. This initial church gathering, blossomed into more men desiring to be part of a larger community of support and brotherhood. The emphasis of the small “i” illuminates the equality and humility each man represents as part of a larger mission.
Today in 2024, i~M.O.V.E.™ is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization registered in the State Of California. We are in our genesis form with a mission to serve men world wide, providing life skills education and Christian counseling to support healthy development in a changing world. We currently have reach in California, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. Growing from a small mustard seed in hopes to be a far reaching tree, i~M.O.V.E.™ works diligently to connect a global network of men in order to nurture the Health, Wellbeing and Restoration of the whole man.
